Chapter 3: The Great Escape #

Just as Whiskers was about to call the police, he heard another sound—this time, coming from the alley outside. A loud engine revved up, and Whiskers peeked through the window to see a van pulling away.

"They weren’t working alone," Whiskers muttered. "This is bigger than I thought."

Without wasting a second, Whiskers darted out the back door and into the alley. He scaled the side of a nearby building, his ninja training allowing him to move like a shadow. From his vantage point, he saw the van speeding toward the edge of town. He knew he had to act fast.

With one mighty leap, Whiskers landed on the roof of the moving van, barely making a sound. He crouched low, staying hidden, as the van raced through the dark streets. He could sense danger ahead—this mission was about to get much more complicated.
