Chapter 4: The Shadow's Lair #

The van eventually stopped at an old warehouse on the outskirts of town. The burglars quickly unloaded the stolen goods and disappeared inside. Whiskers, ever watchful, waited for the right moment. He needed to gather information, but he couldn’t risk being seen.

Using his ninja skills, he climbed down the side of the warehouse and snuck through a crack in the back door. Inside, he saw a large group of thieves huddled around a table, planning their next move. At the head of the table was a mysterious figure wearing a dark hood—a figure that looked strangely familiar.

Whiskers narrowed his eyes. "It’s him... the Shadow Master," he whispered to himself. The Shadow Master was a notorious criminal who had been causing trouble all over the city, and now, it seemed, he had his sights set on the bakery’s golden recipe book.

Whiskers knew that he had to stop the Shadow Master before he could escape with the treasure.
